Delete Your ByteRoom Account

ByteRoom allows Organization Administrators to permanently delete their account and the associated organization directly from within the application.
- 1. Who can delete an account?
Organization Administrators
Organization Administrators can permanently delete their account and the associated organization directly from within the app.
Organization Members
Organization Members cannot delete their own account. If you are a member, please contact your Organization Administrator to remove your account or revoke your access.
- 2. How to delete your account
- Open the ByteRoom app.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Open the Account section.
- Select Delete Account.
- Carefully review the warning displayed.
- Select Delete Permanently.
- Confirm your decision.
Important
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please export or save any important information before proceeding.
Once confirmed, you will be signed out and your account deletion process will begin.
- 3. What happens when an Organization Administrator deletes an account?
Deleting an Organization Administrator account permanently removes:
Administrator account
Organization
Organization members
Discussion threads
Messages
Shared files and organization data
This action cannot be undone.
- 4. What happens when a Member wants to delete an account?
Members cannot delete their own account.
Please contact your Organization Administrator, who can remove your account through the organization’s member management controls.
- 5. Data retention
When an account is deleted, personal information and organization data are permanently removed from our systems.
Certain information may be retained where required by applicable laws, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance.
